The fine wines of the Langhe > Vines > Bussanello vine It
is a vine which is obtained at the end of the Thirties by
Prof. G. Dalmsaao by crossing Italic Riesling and Furmint
vines. Studies about its ampelographic, productive, and
oenological charactgeristics were deepened only in the
Sixties and in the Seventies (Curzel, 1965; Eynard 1966).
The CVT signed up this vine for the Grapevine Variety
National Catalogue in 1977. Further studies carried out in
the Nineties by the CVT, also in collaboration with the
Tenuta Cannona Regional Experimental Company, allowed to
post a request to the related State Department in 2000 for
the insertion of Bussanello vine in the list of the vines
which are recommended for the provinces of Alessandria,
Asti, and Cuneo. Morphological characters Bud:
yellow-blue, with rosy edges, apex. Cup-shaped, green,
with rosy edges, inferiorly bristly, apex leaves (1-3).
Light green, with bronze shades, inferiorly bristled
(straight hair), basal leaves (4-5). Phenology Germination:
medium (middle of April). Cultural attitudes and utilization Vigour:
